Console journey
Move through this journey one milestone at a time. Each step opens the place you need next.
- 1
Prepare your new agent
Have the HostedAgent you just created ready for its first connected capability.
- 2
Open the agent you just created
Open the agent you created in Build and go to its Configure tab so you can add the FinOps capabilities.
- 3
Add the AWS Pricing MCP and Skill
For the paved path, navigate to Tools, search for AWS Pricing Tool, confirm it is the FinOps AWS Pricing MCP rather than a plain API, and add it. Then navigate to Skills, search for AWS Pricing, and add the AWS Pricing Skill. If another MCP server better fits your use case, you can use it instead; a Skill for that MCP may or may not exist, which is okay.
- 4
Use FinOps AWS pricing capabilities
Test the agent with a request for EC2 pricing or pricing for another AWS service. You can use the Test agent control, or open the agent's Web Components tab and scroll down to the test area to send the request. Confirm the FinOps AWS MCP server supplies the pricing data and the AWS Pricing Skill guides the response.
